I got My Annabelle Stamps!!

I was over the moon when I went to the post office this morning and my parcel from Andrea was there!! I have been waiting patiently (not so much!!) for it to arrive. And wow, did Andrea spoil us DT members. In my parcel were 4 of the Annabelle Stamp sets, 1 individual Annabelle Stamp, 2 containers of Sprinkles (I LOVE THESE!!), and some other paper and card. Thanks Andrea, you are awesome.

Needless to say I had to start playing with my new goodies straight away!! The first set I used is called Jasmine’s Cupcake, and there are some adorable stamps in this set. The main image is obviously the pretty girl sitting on her cupcake, but there are lots of other smaller, very cute images. As well as the main image I used the 2 different swirl images in the pack, which I stamped with VersaMark in the top 2 corners of the card. The sentiment and small strawberry stamped on the tag are also included. I also used some of the Olive Sprinkles on my card. I cannot say enough about these little things. They are lovely!! You get about 100 Sprinkles in a jar, and they are lovely little jars, which you can stack up on top of each other to save space. I will definitely be purchasing a whole range of these in the future!!

Here is a picture of all the lovely stamps that are included in this pack. Hop on over to Annabelle Stamps and have a look at the other sets that are available.

Here is my card and close-up photo of the image, which I coloured in with my Copics. The Copics I used are : E00, E11, E21, E31, E33, E35, E37; R20, R27, R29; YR00, YR02, YR04; G00, G21; YG91, YG95; BG10.

Stop by again during the week to see what stamp set I use next!

3 Challenges in 1

Morning everyone. It’s a wet & chilly morning here in Dundee today. Perfect weather for a bit of crafting. So far I have spent time printing lots of photos off the computer so I am all up to date with the photos I need to scrapbook. With all the card making I have been doing I am a tad bit behind on my kids albums. Oops, so needless to say I need to get onto that!!

The card I am posting today qualifies for 3 challenges, and I so enjoyed making this card. It was fun. We got home from our camping trip yesterday morning, and I made this card in the afternoon. The first card I had made in 10 days!! The layout of the card is based on the Friday sketch over at Taylored Expressions, and it was a lovely simple sketch to work with. Gotta love that!! Over at the Simon Says Challenge Blog, the challenge for this week was to use stitching on your card. Not so much of a challenge for me, as I use my sewing machine quite often on my cards. For this card I did use a stitch that I have never used on a card before, and I was extra pleased with the way it came out! I will definitely be using that stitch more often. It gives the card a lovely finish I think! And then finally, over at Cute Card Thursday the challenge is to use Yellow & Black. I must admit this was my fav challenge of the 3. I have never used these 2 colours on a card before, and after finishing my card I stepped back and thought how nice the colours look together!! Outside my comfort zone, but a colour combo I will definitely use again in the future. The adorable image is one that was stamped for me by my Dundonian friend Angella. It was such a pleasure to colour in this image with my Copics. So sweet!! I also used my new Moroccan Screen Cuttlebug folder. I love this one, and will be using it a lot in the future!

So without further ado, here is Taylor’s Sketch.

And my card and close-up photo. I have really been battling to take nice photos of my cards, so sorry for the poor quality!

Would love to hear what you think! Thanks for stopping by, hope you all have a great week.

Simon Says - Follow a Recipe

Hi All. Hope you are having a good weekend so far. We were down in Durban yesterday for Caide's sport, and he did So well. He came 4th in his shot put event, and we are so very proud of what he achieved. He had come 5th in the KZN Christian Schools Sports, so for him to come 4th in the South African Christian Schools Sports is awesome. So all that training we did in the back garden payed off!! Here is a photo of my handsome son in his new black tracksuit with the Kingspark athletics stadium and the new Soccer World Cup stadium in the background.

Anyhoo, moving on to my card for today. The challenge I am taking part in is for the Simon Says challenge, and this week it is to follow a recipe. The recipe is to use 2 papers, 3 embellishments and 1 image. I kept the card fairly simple and used a stamp which is from a set that is only available from the Simon Says Shop. It is from the set called Woodland Creatures. The sentiment is also part of the set. I love this little owl image!

Here is my card and close-up photo:

Also wanted to mention that the Annabelle Stamps shop is now up and running. Two of the DT girls, Michelle and Kylie have already received their stamps and have made some lovely cards. If you click on the link for Annabelle Stamps in my sidebar it will take you to the shop. Hop on over and have a look at the stamp sets that are available, they are just too cute. Can't wait to receive mine!!

Hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!!

A new challenge for me!

Morning everyone. Half way through the week, and it's Caide's last exam today, so I am jumping for joy!! And only 1 week until they go on school holidays, yahoo. 2 weeks of down time, really looking forward to it.

The challenge I am talking about today is the challenge over at the Sugar Bowl, and it's the first time I am taking part. The gorgeous little Sugar Nellie stamp is another one that Poala stamped for me, and she is just too dear. I love this image! The card I created is based on this sketch:

It's a really lovely sketch. I actually can't believe I never used to use sketches. Now I enjoy the process of using a sketch SO much, it just takes out all the hard work and leaves the fun bits of putting a card together!

Anyway, here is my card and close-up of my colouring:

I had better be off. I have a hectic few days ahead. I am frantically trying to make a batch of cards for Friday. My sister is selling flowers at a flea market in Scottburgh, and she has asked me for some cards for her table. I am going to give them to my Mom when she comes to watch Caide taking part in SACSSA at Kings Park on Friday. Hope you are all having a great week!

Caardvarks Challenge

Morning, just a quick post today!! Hope you all had a lovely weekend. Mine felt WAY too short. I have woken up feeling tired!

Moving right along. The card I am posting is one I made for the challenge over at Caardvarks. This is the first time I have taken part in one of their challenges. I based my card on Sketch 2 which I rotated!!

Here's the sketch:

And my card and usual closeup photo. The stamp I used is another one of my South African Stamps. Isn't she too cute!

Thanks for stopping by. Hope you have a great week. Mine is going to be busy!! Angella is looking for more male cards for her shop, so I need to make those. Caide has 3 big exams, and on Friday we are taking him down to Durban to take part in South African Christian Schools athletics.

Mojo103Sketch & a Huge "Thank-you"

First of all a big thank-you to all those left me messages yesterday. I had such a happy day reading them all throughout the day. I can see I am going to be working with a wonderful group of ladies. Very exciting. I also wanted to say a special “thank-you” to all the amazing friends I have made over at RSA. Thanks for all your words of encouragement girls, you are the best!!

Today’s card qualifies for two challenges. The layout of the card is based on the sketch over at Mojo Mondays. I adjusted it slightly, but it was a fantastic sketch to work with. Here it is:

The second challenge is the one over at Cute Card Thursday. The challenge there was to use the colours Pink & Green. Perfect for a girly card. I whipped this up last night and had so much fun with it. With the help of Hayley over at RSA I was able to make myself a “Bow Easy” with a piece of wood and some split pins, so I am now able to make perfect bows. What a pleasure, cause bow making was always a bit of a thorn in my side!! I coloured the image with my Copics (still loving my markers so much!!), and added a bit of glitter to her wings.

Moving on: here is my card and close-up photo of my colouring.

Thanks for stopping by. I have another card to load, but will do so tomorrow or the next day. Hope you are having a good day. Hubby and I are going to the Round Table Melodrama tonight. It’s been over 2 years since we left the kids with a babysitter, and had a night out, so really looking forward to it!!

My news is .....

I am going to be on a new Design Team!! I am really so excited about being given this opportunity, and so look forward to the challenges ahead!!

The DT I am going to be on is an Australian based company and the stamps I am going to be showcasing are Annabelle stamps. The site is not quite ready yet, but should be up and running by the weekend. I really look forward to working with Andrea and the other 9 ladies on the DT. I have visited all their blogs this morning and they all do awesome work! Andrea made the announcement over at her site Andrea's Stampin' Moments.

Anyway, thanks for sharing in my excitement. Can't wait to receive my new stamps from Andrea so I can get going. The little sneak peak she gave on her site shows that the stamps are going to be REALLY cute. Just my kind of stamp. Hop on over to her site and have a look. Hope you all have a fab day, I know I am going to!!

Some Exciting News!

I just got an e-mail this morning, and I am over the moon. Will let you know all about it in a day or two.

Just so this post is not too boring I will post a card too!

This is a card I made for Angella's shop. She has sold a few of my cards so far, and yesterday I had a lady phone me to make 3 cards for her church. So my little cardmaking business is on it's way.

Anyway, check back soon to see what my exciting news is! Hugs

I'm Back!

Happy Monday everyone! As you can see I'm back, and so far so good as far as my computer problems are concerned. Hold thumbs it stays that way, ok?! So it's been a week since I last posted, so I thought I had better do something about it this morning. The card I am posting today is one I created around the challenge at Simon Says. They have an awesome prize going with this week's challenge, so I thought I really must take part. They really do seem to be the nicest people over there!!

Anyway here is a photo of the prize that some lucky lady is going to win. Wish it could be me. I have never won anything off anyone's blog, but I am going to keep trying!

This is another image which was kindly stamped for me by my friend Poala. Believe she hasn't been well, so I am sending her lots of prayers that her hand may get better soon!

And here is my card and close-up photo. I am SO enjoying colouring with my Copics. They just blend so nicely and the colours are so nice and rich.

Anyway, hope you all have a great week. Only two and a half weeks until the kids go on school holiday. I can't wait to have them home, this term has been chaos!!
