Project Life 16 - 22 April

The Mom Creative

Last week was a busy, full and important week for us! We had a trip down to Pietermaritzburg and Mooi River, as we are having to decide where to send Caide to High School next year! Both boys played in a hockey tournament on Tuesday, and I went to my first quilting class on Saturday, it was lovely!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog again today, I am so glad you did! For those in SA, hope you are enjoying the long weekend!! :)

Project Life 9 April - 15 April

It's been one of those weeks that I just have not spent any time on my computer, as a result I am behind with my Project Life post. I have decided not to link up this week, but post it anyway. I am still learning my way around the new Blogger, so am unsure as how to resize my photos now, I will have to call my computer guru sister and ask her how!!

I have had to blur one of the photos, it's of the card I created for my first Southern Girls DT post, you will have to come back tomorrow to see that!!!

I hope your week has been great so far, we are lucky enough to have a very long weekend here in SA, starting tomorrow and ending on Tuesday, YAY, lots of crafting and relaxing time ahead! Please do stop by here tomorrow, I would love for you to see my first Southern Girls card!!

Sketch #75 is up at Sketches in Thyme!

Hello, welcome back to my blog today :)

The latest sketch, #75 is up at Sketches in Thyme!! I really enjoyed working with this one, I had just the photo for it, and was able to create a pretty girly page (which I don't get to do often enough!!). The photo is from my sister, Lauren's wedding which took place at the beginning of February this year. As you can see I rotated the sketch to accommodate my landscape photo.

I used a lot of older stash for this layout!!

So here is the lovely sketch you get to play with if you chose to join us!!

You have until the end of the month to enter your layout in this challenge, I can't wait to drop by your blog and see what you come up with!! Link your layout up HERE!

"Speak" to you soon!! :)

Project Life Week 14 Again - I'm trying something New!

Naptime Momtog

The Mom Creative

Hi all. I really have been quiet on the blogging front lately, life really seems to be getting in the way of me spending time on the computer. I am not complaining, life just goes that way sometimes!

I have noticed the trend with Project Life this year, is to take photographs of your album rather than posting the actual photos. So.... I am going to do the same!!

The only problem is, you have seen these photos in my previous PL post, but I promise to have new photos next week!! Hope you don't mind?!?

I am still trying to figure out the best way to photography my album pages, I have a LONG way to go, these are terrible photos, but hopefully I will get a chance to play a bit this weekend.

So, enough nattering, here are my pages!!

If you have any tips on how I could improve on my photos I would REALLY appreciate it!!!

Enjoy the rest of your week, I am off to the Oval to watch the boys play hockey this afternoon :)

Project Life Week 2/4- 8/4

Naptime Momtog

The Mom Creative

I am running a bit behind this week!! My family only left yesterday, so I have hardly spent any time on my computer this past week!

Before and after mug shot. Makes me laugh!!! :)

I tried to get some nice shots of me and my boys, as usual there was lots of bickering and fighting involved.*SIGH*

Mom and Trev arrived for the Easter weekend today. Of course there were some golf lessons on the cards in the afternoon!

Lauren and Geoff arrived today, we took a lovely afternoon trip up to the Museum and then went and had a milkshake at the Lodge. (Photo by my BIL Geoff Redman)

Lots of crafting, learning and reading of mags was done this weekend!

We went to a lovely Easter service on top of the mountain, it is stunning up there. It was very windy and rather chilly though! (Photo by my BIL Geoff Redman)

Enjoy the rest of your week everyone!!!

Project Life Week 26/3- 1/4

Naptime Momtog

The Mom Creative

Welcome back to another week in the life of the Sharp Family, I hope you enjoy your time here!!!

Some pretty flowers in our garden!

The plaster covering Jamie's lumbar puncture hole.

The boys watching some early morning t.v. in our room, don't know why they all look so grumpy though!

Jamie adores Pepper!

I pulled out my spinning wheel and spun some roving called Autumn Birdbath, I am loving the way it is turning out!

As I said before, Pepper thinks he is a cat. This morning while I was sewing he jumped onto my lap and then climbed onto the table and curled up on the quilt I was busy sewing!

Some fun on our Sunday morning walk!!

I love all my boys!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by again this beautiful Monday morning. I've just gotten back from a 6km run with Bryce who rode with me on his bicycle. I hope the week ahead is great for you. 2 more sleeps until my Mom comes to visit and 4 more sleeps until my sister arrives, its going to be a good week!!

I am Guest Designing over at Scrap Africa!!!

Sorry, I am a bit late in getting this up!! Since our crazy week and a bit with Jamie I am battling to get back into the swing of things on the lil ole blog!

Anyway, I am delighted to say that I am the Guest Designer for the latest challenge over at Scrap Africa. I LOVE this site, and have supported it in a couple of challenges since it's inception!

Their latest challenge is "Rainbow", here are the deets:

Let's celebrate our "rainbow nation" !
Make anything with a rainbow or inspired by a rainbow: you can decorate your project with a rainbow or you can use a photograph of a rainbow in your layout. You can use the word "rainbow" in the title of your project. Or you can be inspired by a beautiful picture of a rainbow to create a colorful effect on your project
(then please provide your inspirational image).
Don't forget that it is up to you to decide if it is going to be a layout, a card or an altered object.
Let your creativity and imagination guide you!

And here is my layout I created for this challenge!!

I urge you to go and create something for this challenge and link it up at Scrap Africa, they have an AWESOME prize up for grabs!!!!

Thanks for the opportunity to guest post for you Evgenia, it has been an honour!
